ExperienceClovis.com, the 21st century community
magazine -- a virtual online publication. It is
privately-owned independent entrepreneurial venture
that is not funded by the City of Clovis or
the Clovis Chamber of Commerce or taxpayers' money. Browsing
through this magazine, you will find many articles
that illustrate how vibrant and positive the City of
Clovis is. You'll also find many colorful slide
shows and still pictures of annual cultural
activities, festivals, events, historical landmarks
and beautiful scenic attractions in Clovis and
around the Central Valley.
With the launch of this magazine on 1st of March
2010, I thought that it would be an appropriate time
to tell you some of the reasons
ExperienceClovis.com was founded.
 As a
long-time resident of Clovis, I have always enjoyed
and appreciated the uniqueness of the Clovis Way of
Life and the many things that make Clovis a special
place to live, work, and raise a family. Over the
years, I found myself enthusiastically and
frequently telling my friends, relatives, business
associates, clients and many strangers who live in
different states and around the globes how beautiful
and charming my home town of Clovis is and boasting
about the superb quality of life here.
I often found myself talking about the schools in
the City of Clovis which have long earned a solid
reputation for excellence. Yet, many people that I
have talked to could not immediately locate Clovis
on the map. They often seemed to be surprised to
hear about the Clovis Way Of Life. And I have kept
telling people that Clovis is a real hidden gem of
California and that they ought to come and see for
themselves. Many have, and they have found it to be
a surprisingly worthwhile experience and an
enjoyable visit.
 Wanting
to share the Clovis experience with even more people
and also to give people who live in Clovis a way to
learn more about their own community, I decided to
create this online community magazine.
Through
ExperienceClovis.com, I will continue to tell
the world what a treasure trove they will find in
the City of Clovis and the surrounding valley and
mountains. This project has been one year in the
making, and what you see here is just beginning.
Throughout the year,
ExperienceClovis.com will bring you many more
engaging articles and photos featuring the rich
culture and heritage of Clovis and the scenic beauty
and flavorful bounties of the Central Valley.
