Early Spring and Valley in Bloom
Story and Photo by JoAnne

Spring arrived much early this year in
the Central Valley of California. Bud break began around
the first week of February for many fruit trees such as
almond, plum, peach, nectarine, and apricot. Buds
started to open about the second week of February. Now
you can see many trees flowering with snow-white and
striking pink blossoms everywhere in the residential
areas and commercial districts around Clovis, Fresno,
and other valley towns, as well as in the countryside.
It is a spectacular sight to see.
