Who loves a garden still his Eden keeps,
Perennial pleasures plants, and wholesome
harvest reaps.

~Amos Broson Alcott (1799-1888), American writer

This section is specially designed for all home gardeners and gardening enthusiasts as well
as anyone who enjoys looking at or strolling through a beautiful garden. Stop by and share with your friends here your passion for gardens and gardening, as well as tips, ideas, stories, and photos.

We are truly blessed in the Central Valley with a climate that allows us to grow an amazingly wide assortment of garden plants -- annual and perennial, floral and vegetative, ornamental and culinary, native and exotic.

What are your favorite garden plants? Are angel's trumpet, agave, astilbe, bachelor's button, begonia, bergenia, bougainvillea, bird of paradise, blazing star, butterfly weed, candytuft, chameleon plant, and chrysanthemum among your favorite annuals and perennials? Or perhaps you enjoy crocus, daffodils, gloriosa lily, ginkgo tree, jasmine,  mountain lily, hyacinth, arum italicum, scilia campanulata, tulip, windflowers, morning glory, sweet pea, snapdragon, foxglove, gerbera daisy, salvia, cleome, viola, zinnia, impatiens, lily of the valley, passion flower, Bismarck palm. We'd love to have your ideas and photos of these as well as your other favorites.

Do you have advice on how to start a vegetable or herb garden or how to make a garden flourish? How about some tips for window boxes, hanging baskets, container garden, cottage garden, rock garden, water garden, drought-resistant garden, country garden, formal garden? Any ideas on how to make a small garden look spacious or how to grow apples, persimmons, apricots, pomegranate, peaches, plums, grapes, pomelo, strawberries, black berries, raspberries or other fruit in the back yard or in a pot?
