Lemongrass Pork Steaks |

"Fresh lemongrass and
tumeric mixture bring an Asian flavor to
center-cut pork steaks. Lemongrass
is grown right here in the Central

Ingredients:
2
center-cut pork steaks
1
medium stalk of fresh lemongrass
1
teaspoon ground tumeric
1/2
red onion, chopped coarsely
2
teaspoons soy sauce
1
teaspoon honey
1/2
teaspoon kosher salt
2
tablespoons water
2
teaspoons chopped cilantro
2
tablespoons of cooking oil
Instruction:
Mince finely the tender part,
only, of the lemongrass.
In a bowl, mix soy sauce,
honey, salt, tumeric, and water. Put steaks on a large
plate. Coat both sides of the steaks with the mixture.
Cover with plastic wrap and place them in refrigerator.
Place minced lemongrass and
chopped red onion in a mini chopper. Push on the button
to chop and mix them well. Rub the mixture on both
sides of the steaks. Cover and put them back in
refrigerator for another 15 to 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a large non-stick
skillet over high heat. Place steaks in skillet. Brown both sides
of the steaks for 5 minutes. Turn down heat to medium
high. Cover loosely. Cook for another 5 minutes on
each side or until golden brown. garnish with chopped
cilantro and serve them with hot
steamed rice.
