Composting
Composting is green,
not to mention very satisfying. Compost is great for
garden and landscape plants. Learn how to keep your
pile working well and how to know when it is done. A
properly prepared compost pile does not smell bad. Feel
free to bring organic matter such as grass clippings,
leaves, coffee grounds, etc. to this class.

Green Landscaping
Learn low water use
for spectacular landscaping. You will have dramatic
plants, year round color, hummingbirds and wonderful
fragrances. Create a place to completely relax in your
own backyard. *Saturday, March 19 from 10-12pm will be
a field trip. Classroom sessions will cover soil
preparation, plant selection, culture, design, pruning
and fertilization.

Vegetable Gardening
For Locavores and
anyone else that loves high quality produce. Learn about
gardening at home, also called Urban farming. Good for
your budget, good for your health, good for the
environment. We will cover soil preparation, crop and
seed selection, culture, watering, pest control and
harvest. Not intended for commercial growers.
*Saturday, January 29 from 1:00-3:00pm will be a field
trip.
